If I wrote a note to my younger self...

... I'd tell her to keep on doing these seemingly impossible projects. Even if she fails to create AND finish something spectacular, she learns a lot every time.. and that is what matters. A teacher from the FIP once said "You think you're just wasting cloth? Well no, you're not" (paraphrase).

FLASHBACK~~~
First year in high school, about 4 years ago: That day was our annual school fair! Whoopieee!
me: What shall I wear? @0@
*digs through closet*
me: oh no!! Nothing!!!
*digs through sister's closet and finds jeans*
me:these are byootipoolz!!!
... and off I went to the fair, wearing my sister's very expensive Seven for All Mankind jeans. Trolololol. At the end of the day, I was tasked to help out my fellow classmates clean up our fair booth. I crawled under the table to pick up some trash and other icky stuff and lo and behold! I emerged as me, wearing my sister's jeans with a HUGE tear on the knee. @!$%%^*&%

No biggie. I could cover the hole with a patch.. I could stitch it close like a surgeon.. I could rip some more parts so it's gonna be cool.. BUT NO. My sister hates ripped jeans and remedying em is utterly useless. Hers is a dead pair now. Forever Scarred. @_@

And so.. I decided to MAKE my sister a pair of jeans FROM SCRATCH. Me, with ZERO skills and ZERO knowledge in the art of clothing production. SERIOUSLY?? ..Challenge accepted.

So here it is.. the unfinished output. I still had a very small sewing machine that clearly hated me, back then. Eeeww.

Front with an X and a heart-shaped belt loop.

I'm just gonna laugh at myself for actually doing this..

back. With stitching designs and lipstick stain painted on the back pocket.

So yeah. It was a bad idea and I probably didn't think about the whole thing that much. BUT.. at least! :) At least my sister didn't get mad..
At least I gained some experience and knowledge..
At least I discovered my capabilities and limits =))
At least I finally decided that my old sewing machine was crap and needed to be replaced with a better model..
At least I saw how much improvement I got over the years :)
At least I found these "jeans" just recently and now I have something to blog about today =))

And now... I shall attempt to make a blazer this summer! Present Me, with ZERO knowledge on pattern-making. AHAHAHA But before that, off I go to Hong Kong! 8D Will be back 1st week of May :) Got my outfits ready! <3

Little Elmo and his friend, Loacker

Once upon a time, there was a broken keychain named Little Elmo. He was getting really tired of staying at home all day everyday. And so he called his 'buddy', Loacker, and invited him to go out. Loacker agreed to leave their small dark home that is my cabinet and go on an adventure. They toured this magical place called Wong's Room and their tour guide, me, took pictures of them. It was a fun day for them. :)

Little Elmo and Loacker were so tired after the tour that they went back to their home. They shall rest til the next tour comes.

Tour Guide's note: Me iz a bored child and so I decided to bond with my camera. I took pictures of random things with the theme PERSPECTIVE. Initially, I was gonna blog about the photos I took around the house but... there were a lot of people passing by, staring and wondering what da hell was I taking a photo of... and so I resigned to my room. I didn't get much inspiration there.. but I suddenly got sabaw, got some old toys -Little Elmo and Loacker- and made them my models. =)) Whatta boredom buster :) I'll definitely give them another tour next time. Different place :)

Summer Night

Yesterday, I went out with my friends to Serendra, Bonifacio Global City. Our purpose besides bonding with each other? PHOTOSHOOT. \m/ yes, my friends and I are camwhores. -u- ALAVET. There wasn't a specific theme though. Ann just asked us to dress up. That's it. Okaaayy, I said, being the typically eager beaver again. *u* soo, we just went around the place and took pictures wherever we felt like. We also experimented on our cameras and exchanged photography tricks. OHOHOHOHO THE WONDERS OF PHYSICS~

Candid shot. I look so emo and forever alone. See the wide gap between me and Ann? And the expression on my face as she fiddles with Amore? =)) And so, I edited the picture in accordance :))

Me and mah friends <3

 Another candid shot!

 PHOTOSHOOT in progress~

 Ge <3

Textures~ I am currently in love with em right now (as well as peacock stuff and it breaks my heart to leave a store without buying em!). There's crochet, knit, net, embroidery, lace, sequins... even the smallest of details like the ridges of the belt, softness of the cami, etc. People may not notice these little things but as they say, the important thing is the satisfaction of the wearer. -u-

This look reminds me of summer nights. The textures remind me of summer, in general, coz that's what people usually wear on the beach. However, the sequined skirt and the animal print heels remind me of partying~ yeaaah~

Finally got to wear the skirt I made just a week ago... AND wear it for a photoshoot! 8D ME GUSTA -u-

Jem and I~

Photobomb lvl: 9000. =)) There I was trying to have an emo I-AM-REFLECTING-ON-LIFE shot.. but my friends wanted to be trolls.. =)) AHHAAHAHA you guys are sooo cute!! =))) And yes, I changed to my jeans here coz I didn't feel like wearing a miniskirt. WHAT IZ HAPPENING TO ME?? Usually, I'm the one who wears above the knee stuff! Parallel universe...

There we go.. :D

After strolling around, we partied like hell in Seventh High til early morn. Just kidding! =)) We just played more with our cameras and the colorful lights from the fountain. It looks like we're partying, right? yeeaahhhh~~~~

Spotted: Nicole Wong - celebrity fashion icon, stylist, blogger, photographer, designer, it girl, blah blah blah blah blah

Rachelle, my anak <3

Here I am hoping that we would have more bonding times together and that college won't be able to let us drift away. Next stop: THE SPA <3

Click. Click. Snap!

The other day, I came over to Katy's house to record some songs and stuff. When her parents arrived home, I got to know her family a little bit better. They were so nice and friendly :) They joked around and all. Her daddy even agreed to teach us photography! 8D I was the only willing student there.. -_- So anyways, he let me experiment with his equipment (i.e. flash thingos, backdrop, lens, stand, etc.) and gave me pointers. He tackled the wonderful art of flash photography~

It was an exciting experience 8D He reviewed me first on the basic stuff that I have already learned (and have forgotten :P) when I attended a photography class by Jim Paredes. But what's different is that last year, I wasn't able to use the equipment coz it wasn't compatible with my dad's old Sony DSLR. :< Sad fez. With Katy's dad, attention was on me. 8D He taught me some tricks that I could do just by adjusting some settings in the camera, letting the lights bounce from different directions, click-zoom thing, etc.! Oh physics...

PHOTOSHOOT!!!
